Finally, “easy to learn, fast touch-typing” isn't just hype!

Until now, "easy to learn" and "fast touch typing" just didn't go together. Studies show that most touch typists learned on the typewriter, not the computer keyboard (with so many more keys). Every year, millions resolve to improve their typing skills with software like Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing ®. Most don't succeed. Maybe the answer isn't another typing tutor program. Maybe the answer is an input system designed in the 21st Century, not the 19th!

Microwriting (the CyKey's chord alphabet) has proven itself to be easy to learn, with tens of thousands of users around the world. In the past, many were pleasantly surprised to find they could learn to microwrite A-Z in a half hour, though their friends rarely believed them. With the CyKey Plus, we've gone 2 steps further. First, we've made it unnecessary to learn all the chords to get started, with our "on top" Help Chart software for PC microwriting. Second, we've created a song which teaches the microwriting alphabet in just minutes! Give us just a couple minutes right now, and we'll teach you more than half the alphabet! You can use a table, or your thigh to practice the chords on. Let's go!

Space EO SU has her pinky on U. . .

This is how our learning song begins. That let's you know, the home row (what you get when you tap each of the five main keys by themselves) is thumb for Space, Index on the E, middle finger's key is O, ring finger "belongs" to S and pinky, the U. Now let's learn a few chords. We'll start with the easiest, chords of two keys each in a simple pattern. Space EO SU's friend IAN G is the key to remembering these four chords. I is thumb and index finger, A is index and middle, N is middle and ring, and G is ring and pinky. Go ahead, tap the chords on the table. Feel how the pattern progresses? You now know eight letters and the space!

D, DOT and B are triplets all three. F and M made from four, for the P add one more . . .

Now try these three chords of three keys each, in a simple pattern. Remember DOT means period. For F, you can think "first four". For M you can think "most". For P, think Press all five. Let's review. Space EO SU is the home row. IAN G is a pattern of chords of two. D, DOT and B is a pattern of three chords of three keys each. F and M made from four, for the P add one more. That brings you up to 13 letters and two punctuation characters! How long did that take? In addition to the learning and help tools we provide, you can also use free and shareware typing games to make learning even more fun!
